These giant marigolds grow about 3 feet high, and produce blooms that range from golden melon-orange to light yellow. Marigolds make excellent dried flowers for bright indoor blooms all winter long.

Marigolds are sensitive to frost but grow quickly in warm weather.

Direct-sow seeds ¼” deep, and space the plants 12-24 inches apart. These can also be started indoors, then transplanted outside once the weather is warm.

For best results in eastern Oregon, start indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost (April-May) and transplant outside once danger of frost has passed (June).
