This flower can be directly sowed in the spring for a summer bloom. Godetia is a cultivated variant of the Clarkia wildflower native to the western side of Oregon. Also sometimes called "Farewell to Spring" like the wildflower.

  • All seeds are hand-harvested from plants grown on our farm in Union, Oregon:

    • Located within the Blue Mountain Ecoregion
    • Zone 6b
    • Elevation: 2,786 ft
    • Average rainfall: 13 in
    • Classified as a high elevation desert

     

    Growth requirements:

    • Full sun (8-10 hrs per day)
    • Well drained soils
    • Wait until soil is at least 50 deg F to produce healthy plants.
    • Direct-sow seeds ¼” deep, and space the plants 6-12 inches apart. These can also be started indoors, then transplanted outside once the weather is warm.
